In 2005 I graduated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
Being a student at the Visual Arts department I focussed on video art and short film making. It was in the Netherlands were I started to develop an interest in compositing and visual effects as means of story telling and personal communication.
In my works, familiar settings, characters and situations are sampled from their natural environment (film and television), then retouched and relocated to create a new and personal cinematic view, and a simulation to a specific mental state.
The individuals, in my videos, are commonly forced onto a new environment or situation in which they do not wish to be a part of.
They casually cruse their new surroundings detached and apathetic, excepting their new reality and fate no mater how extreme.
My graduation work Sampled Dreams, along with other video works, have been shown in museums, galleries and film festivals in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Berlin and Tel Aviv
